Matt Poll Scam – Who’s Really Responsible?

Matt Poll suggests that the ‘scam’ label he sometimes gets from others is less about him and more about those not taking personal responsibility. After all, responsibility is made up of reliability, trustworthiness, and honesty, the actions WE take when we decide to take on anything.

“Who is ultimately responsible for one’s success or one’s failure?” Life Poll coach Matt Poll asks his listeners in a 2020 YouTube video. “You might think you already know the answer.”

Consider these questions before you decide:

“Who is responsible for your success? Is it your parents? …Many of us mutate this belief as we mature, always looking for the one in charge, or the official who is taking credit. This could be government, our church leaders, bosses, or social group leaders… We’re so used to the pattern and behavior that we have to go looking for it.”

And these questions on failure:

“Have you ever had someone sell something to you? Perhaps a business investment that went wrong or didn’t work out? This experience created pain and suffering. It also caused you to start living a certain, negative way. You may have even gone over it all, again and again, to make sure you were right.”

Walking hand in hand with responsibility helps you to see your successes and failures more clearly. So how do you see them? Who is ultimately responsible for your success? Your failure? “How does life occur for you when you believe others are in charge of your success?”

“If you correct the thought around the behavior the behavior changes.”

In other words, “the thought or judgment about it might be wrong,” and not the thing itself. “If all I had to do was adjust the thought,” states Poll, “then the behavior, and the power and the velocity which I have would increase and I would attract more of what I wanted.”

The answer is a simple one, and laid out plainly by Poll. “How could you ever be responsible for other people’s successes, when the only person ever in charge of yours is you?”
